Edit: except in this case you would chose 'use local save' to not. Same thing happens if you play the game in offline mode. If you click 'use cloud save' then you should be fine. The most fun I got out that was Tim Schafer's live tweeting of when he played through that last part, where he obviously felt very much like I did. To add to this, if you are logged in to the same origin account and start the game on a new computer it will warn you that the local save and cloud save do not match. It was just something to check off, with few redeaming qualities. It would have been a shame to miss some of the car chase missions in the last part, and Trevors and Michaels hipster exchange for example.īut GTAIV was not one of those. Sometimes it's very much worth just powering through, like with GTAV, that had some of the absolutely best parts of the game in the last third of it, after a slump in the middle. I actually only beat the last part of it, because the game bugged out, so that enemies couldn't hit me. I'm still convinced that the devs didn't really expect that many to beat the game, considering how awful the last mission is, where a lot of things are just so random that it becomes more about chance then skil. But sometimes you just get a hangup on a game like that. I didn't really like the game from the start, so to actually beat it is weird even to me.
